Claims

A claim is when the policy has to work

You do not have to figure out the carrier's process on your own. Call or email the agency and we start it with you, then stay involved until it closes.

How to start a claim

  1. 01

    Make sure everyone is safe

If there is injury, fire, or a hazard, call 911 first. Get a police or fire report number if one is filed — carriers ask for it.

  2. 02

    Tell us what happened

Call (563) 202-1998 or email info@suarezinsures.com with the date, what happened, and any photos. We pull your policy and confirm what it covers before anything is reported.

  3. 03

We open the claim with your carrier

We report it, get you a claim number, and tell you which adjuster to expect and roughly when they will reach out.

  4. 04

We stay in it with you

If the adjuster goes quiet, if an estimate looks short, or if you do not understand a settlement letter, that is our job — not yours to chase alone.

What to expect

What to have ready

Your policy number if you have it, the date and time of loss, photos or video, a short written description, names and contact info for anyone else involved, and any report numbers.

Your deductible

The deductible is the part you pay before coverage applies. We will tell you what yours is up front so there are no surprises at settlement.

Timing

Most carriers assign an adjuster within one to two business days. Property inspections and auto repair estimates usually follow within a week, depending on how busy the region is.

Should you file at all?

Sometimes the damage is close to your deductible and a claim is not in your interest. We will talk that through honestly before reporting anything.

Need a hand?

To report a claim, call the office at (563) 202-1998 or email info@suarezinsures.com. If it is after hours, send the email with photos and a callback number and we will pick it up first thing.
